As much as there has been continued speculation and fan pressure, Suno Chanda Season 3 is not happening. Cast member Nabeel Zuberi recently spoke out against the rumors during an Instagram Q&A, saying, “Sorry to update you guys, but there will be no Suno Chanda Season 3.”
Also, the writer of the drama, Saima Akram Chaudhry, explained the decision on social media, stressing the need to keep the story intact. She said, “Every story must have an end. Unnecessarily prolonging it may spoil its novelty.” She added that the series had reached its logical end.
Though Suno Chanda is still one of Hum TV’s favorite Ramzan dramas, there are no plans for a third season at present.
Earlier, Famous rom-com writer Saima Akram Chaudhry took to her social media on April 5 to promise a third season for TV series ‘Suno Chanda’, though with certain conditions.
To convey the news to the fans, the writer put up the following status: “I am so overwhelmed by the response of my fans. This is the love I have been carrying since ‘Suno Chanda Season 1’. If my fans showered the same love for ‘Hum Tum’ and ‘Chaudhry and Sons’, this is my promise that I am going to write ‘Suno Chanda Season 3’ – for the love of ‘Suno Chanda’.
The writer was inclined to say this when a lot of people took to the writer’s social media page to say that despite some of her wonderful drama serials making it to the television screens after ‘Suno Chanda’ such as ‘Chupke Chupke’, ‘Ishq Jalebi’, ‘Hum Tum’ and ‘Chaudhry and Sons’, the latter two currently running on air, the charm of ‘Suno Chanda’ remains and no other project has been able to come on par with it. Although Saima Akram Chaudhry has been prolifically writing similar serials to cater to the demands of her fans, fans keep on insisting that they need a third season of ‘Suno Chanda’ instead of other rom-coms of the same kind.
