It is said that, after long research, a special naturally available compound called methanesulfonamide has been discovered in the super food Makhana.

Many types of properties have been found in this special type of element, it includes disinfectant, antibacterial, antitumor, anticancer, antifungal and antiHIV properties which help in fighting these serious diseases. It is being told that the institute has also filed a patent for this new discovery technology done through biological method.

Scientists gave information

Let us tell you that here Makhana has been made a superfood to fight many serious diseases. BAU scientists Dr. V. Shajida Banu and Dr. Pritam Ganguly, who researched this, said that naturally available methanesulfonamide (N2-iodophenyl) compound element has been found in Makhana seeds. It is an antidote to sulfonamide.

Apart from being germicidal, it is also antibacterial. It is capable of fighting serious and incurable diseases like tumor, cancer, fungal, thyroid, HIV etc. It can reduce the risk of serious diseases in many ways. It is being told that, scientists have identified a new bioactive compound, N2-iodophenyl, methanesulfonamide in Makhana. This is being considered an important discovery in agricultural research. This research was done in the NABL certified laboratory of BAU.
