Ragi Oats Dhokla

Material

  • 2 cups ragi flour
  • 1 cup oats powder
  • 1 cup urad dal flour
  • 2 cups curd
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 8 to 10 curry leaves
  • half teaspoon dry ginger
  • half teaspoon baking soda
  • 6-7 finely chopped green chillies

How to make Ragi and Oats Dhokla

  • To make Ragi and Oats Dhokla, first mix ragi flour, oats powder and urad dal flour in a bowl.
  • Now add curd to it and keep mixing for some time. Now when the thick paste is ready, add water to it as per requirement.
  • Now keep this batter to set for 6-7 hours. Next morning, add salt, turmeric powder, red chilli to this batter and mix it.
  • After this, add baking soda to make the batter fluffy. Then add half spoon dry ginger in it and mix it.
  • Now apply oil on a plate and grease it well. Then add prepared batter into it.
  • Then pour water in a vessel, place this plate on a stand and steam it.
  • Now heat oil in a pan. Then add mustard seeds, curry leaves and finely chopped green chillies and temper it.
  • Then add sugar, water and lemon juice and mix.
  • Now put a knife in the dhokla and check whether it is cooked properly or not.
  • Then add this tempering to the dhokla and apply the tempering.
  • Now cut the Dhokla into desired shapes with the help of a knife.
  • Ragi and oats dhokla is ready. Serve dhokla with green chutney.
