Vaibhav made a unique record in the history of T20 cricket. He achieved the feat of completing 100 sixes in the fewest number of balls in men’s T20 cricket. To reach this feat, Vaibhav played only 514 balls, which is the fastest record till date.
Karanbir Singh at second place
At second place in this list is Austria’s Indian origin player Karanbir Singh, who achieved this position in 817 balls. That means Vaibhav created a new history by taking 303 balls less than him. In this special list, West Indies’ Romario Shepherd (847) is at third place, Kieron Pollard (848) is at fourth place and Seekkuge Prasanna (854) is at fifth place.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi has also become the batsman who has hit the most sixes in the power-play this season. His aggressive style in the first six overs remains the biggest challenge for the opposition bowlers. So far in IPL 2026, he has hit 30 sixes in the power-play, which is a new record for a season.
Abhishek Sharma’s record
Earlier this record was in the name of Abhishek Sharma, who had hit 29 sixes in 2024. Even in 2026, Abhishek is still in the race with 27 sixes. Big names like Sanath Jayasuriya, Travis Head and Yashasvi Jaiswal are also included in this list, but at present Vaibhav is seen at the forefront.
The manner in which Vaibhav Suryavanshi is making record after record at a young age has made it clear that Indian cricket has got a new superstar.
