SG said that the book which was published in the market has been withdrawn. The CJI said that this is a very calculated move, in which the Indian judiciary was described as corrupt. The entire teacher community is trolling this. Justice Bagchi said that thousands of copies of a book must have been made in the digital age. It is important to know how this was done. The CJI said that we are not stopping this proceeding. There is a need for a thorough investigation, which will be conducted. SG said that it is absolutely right, whatever has been done should be compensated as per yours.
‘Judiciary today drenched in blood’

The Chief Justice said that its result is not trivial. They have opened fire, the judiciary is soaked in blood today. Justice Bagchi said that this article and excerpts are in the public domain. The government should issue orders for removal. Judiciary is the protector of the Constitution. Nothing like this has been revealed. The SG said that it should be removed, I bow down. The Chief Justice said that removal orders can be issued, statutory provisions will be used. CGI said that we want to do a thorough investigation. As the head of the judiciary, it is my duty to find the person responsible. The investigation will not stop until I am satisfied. SG said that we are not adopting an opposing stance. Whoever is responsible will have to make payment to your satisfaction.

The government had given instructions to ban

NCERT had released the Social Science Part-2 book named Exploring Society: India and Beyond, Vol II for Class 8 on 24 February 2026. After the release of the book, it was noticed that Chapter 4 Role of Judiciary in our Society (pages 125-142) has inadvertently included some inappropriate textual content and judgment related errors.
The Department of School Education and Literacy of the Ministry of Education also objected to this and directed to stop the distribution of the book till further orders. Following this instruction, NCERT has stopped the sale of the book. NCERT issued a statement saying that it has great respect for the judiciary and considers it to be the protector of the Indian Constitution and guardian of fundamental rights. The organization said that this mistake was completely unintentional and expressed regret for it.
