Supreme Court On CAA: 'Supreme' seal on Citizenship Amendment Act, major verdict on constitutional validity

Citizenship Amendment Act: The Constitution Bench has upheld the validity of Section 6A of the Citizenship Act. Under this, illegal immigrants who entered Assam between 1st January 1966 and 25th March 1971 were granted citizenship. Most of them were from Bangladesh.
