The Air Quality Index is a number. Through this the air quality is assessed. Through this, an attempt is also made to find out the level of pollution present in the air. Based on AQI readings, air quality is divided into six categories. According to this, AQI between zero and 50 is considered good. An AQI between 51 and 100 is satisfactory. 101 and 200 fall in the moderate category, 201 and 300 in the poor category, 301 and 400 in the very poor category. If the AQI of a city is between 401 and 500, then it is in the severe category.
