Supreme Court takes cognizance of Tvisha Sharma case, hearing may be held on May 25
The Supreme Court took suo motu cognizance of Twisha Sharma death case. The bench headed by Chief Justice Surya Kant can hear the matter on Monday i.e. May 25. Tvisha’s family has accused her in-laws of dowry harassment. On Friday, Tvisha’s husband Samarth Singh surrendered in Jabalpur district court. The court has sent him on police remand for seven days. On Friday itself, the Madhya Pradesh government had also decided to get the matter investigated by the CBI.
The body of actress Tvisha Sharma was found hanging at her in-laws’ house in Katara Hills area of Bhopal on May 12. The family members had accused the in-laws of abetting suicide and dowry harassment. On the other hand, the in-laws claimed that Tvisha was a drug addict. However, on the complaint of family members, the police registered a case against husband Samarth Singh and mother-in-law Giribala Singh. Let us tell you that Tvisha’s mother-in-law is a former judge.

Husband Prakar Singh was absconding for the last 10 days. On Friday, he reached Jabalpur district court to surrender. The police arrested him from here. The court has sent him to police custody for seven days.
Tvisha got married last year
Actress Tvisha Sharma was married to Samarth Singh in Noida in December last year. About six months later, Tvisha’s body was found hanging in her in-laws’ house located in Katara Hills area of Bhopal. Three days after the incident, on May 15, the police registered a case against Samarth Singh and Giribala Singh. Giribala filed an anticipatory bail petition in the court. He also got relief from the court, while Samarth absconded.

Police sent third notice to mother-in-law
Samarth Singh filed anticipatory bail petition in Bhopal court. But there was no relief. After this he moved the High Court. Later withdrew his petition. Police announced a reward of Rs 30 thousand on absconding Samarth Singh. On Friday, police took him into custody from Jabalpur court premises. Meanwhile, the police issued a third notice to mother-in-law Giribala. Police say that if Giribala does not cooperate in the investigation, they will approach the court to get the anticipatory bail cancelled.
