New Delhi: The proceedings and hearing in the famous lady doctor murder case of Kolkata are going on and the hearing of the murder case is going on in the Supreme Court. Meanwhile, the date of the next hearing in the case has come out in which the Supreme Court will hear on October 1. In this case, the Supreme Court had taken suo motu cognizance of the petition and a bench of Chief Justice (CJI) DY Chandrachud, Justice JB Pardiwala and Justice Manoj Mishra is hearing the case.

Let us tell you that protests are going on across the country regarding this case. There is constant anger among the doctors. Everyone is constantly putting pressure on the government to get justice for the victim. In view of the questions being constantly raised on the West Bengal government, the Supreme Court had started hearing this case.

What happened in the hearing on 23 September

Let us tell you that today on Monday i.e. 23rd September, the RG Kar case was heard in the Supreme Court. As soon as the proceedings began, the lawyer appearing on behalf of one of the parties requested the bench of Chief Justice DY Chandrachud and Justice JB Pardiwala that due to some reasons, the case should be heard next week. On this, the CJI said, 'We will hear the case on next Tuesday i.e. October 1.'

During the hearing on September 17 in this case, the Supreme Court had said that, disclosing today what the CBI is investigating will affect the process, the path that the CBI has taken is to uncover the truth. The SHO himself has been arrested. We have seen the status report and the CBI has responded to all the issues raised by us, including whether the challan was given, what was the process of PMR, whether evidence was destroyed, whether there was collusion of any other person etc.

Let us tell you that the incident took place in RG Kar Hospital in Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal, in which nationwide protests are being held against the incident since the body of a trainee doctor was found in the seminar room of the hospital on August 9. In this case, the police arrested Kolkata Police's civil volunteer Sanjay Roy. He, who was associated with the TMC government and West Bengal Police, is still in the dock. Due to the negligence shown in this case, there is a constant reprimand from the Supreme Court. Seeing the tension increasing, the Calcutta High Court handed over the investigation to the CBI on August 13. Earlier, Kolkata Police was investigating the case.
