‘Supreme’-Dhamma Chaitanya! Trump’s comment on imposing a new 10% tariff, ‘can increase more’

President Donald Trump is in self-esteem despite the huge blow from the US Supreme Court’s verdict. On Friday, the country’s top court clarified that Trump has no power to impose new tariffs. What he did is completely illegal. But soon after, Trump announced an additional 10 percent tariff on top of the imposed tariffs in defiance of the ruling. With a warning, he can increase the tariff even more if he wants.

A nine-judge bench of the US Supreme Court led by Chief Justice John Roberts reviewed Trump’s tariffs on Friday. If the vote is taken, the result is 6-3. That is, more votes are against the customs policy. After that, the Chief Justice said, “The President does not have the power to impose huge tariffs on imports in a single decision without the permission of the US Congress on the grounds of emergency.” What he has done is misused his power.”

Soon after, Trump wrote on his social media, Truth Social, ‘It was a great honor for me to sign the agreement imposing a 10% global tariff on all countries from the Oval Office. It will be effective immediately.’ Earlier, Trump was heard saying, “Today I will sign an order under Section 122 imposing 10% global tariffs on top of our normal tariffs. Of course, I can raise tariffs much more.”

However, Trump has assured that the agreement with India remains unchanged. He said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a great person. As tough as he was in negotiating with others, he was not as tough on the US deal. The fair deal with India will remain unchanged.”
