Suresh Paswan elected leader of RJD legislative party, Hemant Soren may get a place in the cabinet

Ranchi: Suresh Paswan, who won from Deoghar assembly seat, has been elected as the leader of RJD legislative party. The possibility of Suresh Paswan becoming a minister has increased, although party president Lalu Yadav has been authorized for this by RJD.

Suresh Paswan has won from Deoghar seat by 39721 votes. He defeated BJP's Narayan Das by a huge margin of votes. This time, four RJD MLAs have been elected to the assembly. Sanjay Kumar Singh Yadav from Hussainabad, Sanjay Prasad Yadav from Godda and Naresh Prasad Singh from Vishrampur have won the elections. Suresh Paswan has been a minister in the Jharkhand government before but he had to face defeat in the 2014 and 2019 elections. In the 2019 elections, only one RJD MLA Satyanand Bhokta had won from Chatra and Hemant had become a minister in the cabinet. This time RJD has performed better and four of its candidates have won.
