Suresh Raina advised the youth, 'Leave your mobile and play cricket on the field'
Delhi: Former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina, also known as Mr. IPL, advised the youth to go out on the field and enjoy playing cricket instead of spending time on mobile phones. IIMT Meerut Inventors team mentor Raina said that there is no dearth of talent in Western Uttar Pradesh, the only need is to give them the right opportunities.
During the trials organized for the LLCTen-10 League at the IIMT Cricket Academy grounds on Tuesday, Raina said, “Meerut is my home and I have a deep connection with it. This is my in-laws house and I like the smell, food and hospitality here very much.” Referring to his old memories from Meerut City Station, he said that when he used to go to Kanpur or other districts to play cricket, he used to catch the train from here.
Raina said that many cricketers from Meerut have reached the Indian team, and the youth here also have amazing talent. LLCTen-10 is giving a unique opportunity to the youth to make their career. Through this league, youth can meet players whom till now they have seen only on TV. This will not only give them an opportunity to learn the tricks of cricket, but will also allow them to play under pressure and improve their performance.
Sharing his struggles, Raina told that he also started playing cricket with tennis balls. At that time, balls and other equipment were quite expensive, so he used to buy balls by collecting two rupees each with his friends. He told the youth who came for the trials to play cricket vigorously and pursue it with enjoyment. This will not only give them happiness but will also give new heights to their career.
