Suryakumar Yadav becomes pitch curator, doing special exercises for preparation, VIDEO…
Mumbai Mumbai. Indian star batsman and T20 team captain Suryakumar Yadav has recently been dropped from the Indian team for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy. This trophy is being played in Pakistan, while India's matches are being played in Dubai. However, Suryakumar Yadav will lead India in the five-match T20 series against England. Suryakumar Yadav was seen preparing with full strength for the upcoming England series. He did some new exercises to prepare himself for the English challenge and come out on top. In a video posted on Instagram, Suryakumar Yadav was seen decorating the pitch with a roller. He then hit some explosive batting shots as he looked all set for the five-match T20 series against England.
He also hit his signature scoop shot, which can be seen in the video posted by the Indian T20 captain. The first T20 match between India and England will be held on 22 January 2025 in Kolkata. Suresh Raina feels middle-order batsman Suryakumar Yadav will be sorely missed in the upcoming Champions Trophy as he could provide the 'X-factor' in Dubai, where Rohit Sharma's team will play all its matches.
Speaking on Star Sports Press Room, Raina said, “Surya was an integral part of the World Cup team, he is a 360 player who can score runs at the rate of 9 runs per over at any stage of the game. He can dominate the opposition and Can bat differently.”
On Suryakumar Yadav being dropped from the team, Suresh Raina said, “If Surya was there, he would have been the X-factor, but he will be missed. Now the responsibility will be on the top 3 who are not in form. Surya is a player who can play in any situation.” I can bat.”
