Sushant Singh case: Supreme Court rules in favor of Rhea Chakraborty

The Supreme Court of India has granted Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty a significant victory in the lawsuit involving the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

One of the most well-known actors, Sushant Singh Rajput, tragically died young. He was discovered dead in his Bandra, Mumbai, residence on June 14, 2020, in what was determined to be a suicide.

The film industry was rocked by his unexpected death, and shortly after, Sushant’s family sued Rhea Chakraborty and her family. After that, Rhea and her family were prohibited from traveling overseas by a watch circular issued by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

But according to recent allegations in the Indian media, the Supreme Court of India has quashed the CBI’s lookout circular against Rhea Chakraborty.

According to the reports, the Supreme Court rejected the petitions filed by the CBI, the Bureau of Immigration, and the Maharashtra government, which sought to challenge the Bombay High Court’s decision to cancel the lookout notice against Rhea, her brother, father, and others.

It’s noteworthy that Rhea Chakraborty and the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput were in a relationship at the time of his death. After Sushant’s passing, his father filed an FIR accusing Chakraborty of abetment to suicide and money laundering.

Subsequently, Rhea was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and spent nearly a month in jail. She was later granted bail by the Bombay High Court, which stated that she had no criminal record against her.
