Latest News :- Maharashtra Police said that Jagdish, who threatened to bomb planes, is the author of a book on terrorism and they are searching for him. For the last two weeks, threats to bomb domestic and international flights have been issued daily on social media. But testing revealed that these were mere rumours. Due to this there was delay in departure or arrival of flights. Security has also been tightened at airports, airline offices, railway stations etc.
In this case, the Special Division of Nagpur City Police of Maharashtra has identified the person who issued bomb threats on planes. He told that the name of the person is Jagdish Uike (35), a resident of Gondia area of Nagpur and he has written a book on extremism.
Nagpur Police Deputy Commissioner Sweta Khedkar is investigating the case. According to the investigation conducted by the police, Jagdish Uike had sent bomb threats to government organizations including the Prime Minister's Office, the Railway Minister, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, airline offices, DGP offices and the Railway Protection Force.
A top official of the police department has said that the person who was arrested in a 2021 case has absconded and a search is on for him. Meanwhile, Uike had sent an email saying that if he was not given the opportunity to share information about the secret terrorist code, he would join the protests. After this, security was increased at the residence of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Monday. He also demanded that he be allowed to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi to share his information about the terror threat.
Uike had sent an email to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav on 21st. He has also sent it to the DGP of Railway Protection Force. Security has been increased at railway stations. A top Nagpur Police official said that a special force has been formed to arrest Jagdish Uike and he will be arrested soon. More than 300 flights were bombed between 13th and 26th. It is noteworthy that on 22nd, more than 50 flights received threats in a single day.
