Suspended TMC MLA Humayun Kabir will form a new party, will contest elections against Mamata along with Owaisi.

Kolkata. Suspended Trinamool Congress (TMC) MLA Humayun Kabir has announced the formation of a new party. He has also said that he will form an alliance with Asaduddin Owaisi’s party AIMIM in the upcoming Bengal Assembly elections and contest the elections in Bengal. Let us tell you that Kabir came into limelight when on Saturday, amidst tight security, he laid the foundation of a mosque based on the model of Babri Masjid of Ayodhya at Rejinagar in Murshidabad district of West Bengal.

Amid heavy deployment of state police, Rapid Action Force (RAF) and central forces, Kabir, accompanied by clerics, cut the ceremonial ribbon on a huge stage in Rezinagar, while the actual mosque construction site was about a kilometer away from the venue. During this, slogans of “Nara-e-Takbeer, Allahu Akbar” were raised and thousands of people gathered at the venue since morning. Many of those present there symbolically carried bricks on their heads. The event was scheduled for December 6, the day the Babri Masjid was demolished in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh in 1992. There was also a sharp political reaction regarding the choice of date for this event.

Kabir was suspended by the Trinamool Congress earlier this week for indulging in “communal politics”. Addressing the people, he said that I am not doing anything unconstitutional. Building a place of worship is a constitutional right. Babri Masjid will be built. He claimed that around four lakh people participated in this program.
