Sita Soren has been made the candidate from Jamtara seat.

Champai Soren, who left JMM and joined BJP, has been given ticket from Seraikela. Whereas his son Babulal Soren has been fielded from Ghatshila. Meera Munda, wife of former Chief Minister Arjun Munda and Purnima Das Sahu, daughter-in-law of former Chief Minister Raghuvar Das, have made political entry. Meera Munda has been made the candidate from Potka and Purnima from Jamshedpur East. BJP state president Babulal Marandi has made candidates from Dhanwar assembly seat of Giridih.
