Swiss Hotel Rules: Well-known industrialist Harsh Goenka shared a post on social media platform X. He mentioned a hotel in Switzerland. He told that the hotel had once posted a list of special rules for Indian guests. He was surprised to see the list. This included rules specifically for Indian guests, such as: “Don’t steal food from the buffet,” “Don’t shout loudly on the hotel balcony or in the corridor,” etc.

In a post on social media platform Indians were asked by the hotel not to take away packed food from the breakfast buffet, to use only the cutlery provided and not to make noise in the corridors and balconies. The hotel had also clarified that the buffet food is only for breakfast and lunch packs can be purchased separately.

This comment of Goenka has come at a time when many videos of Indians doing Garba or talking loudly at airports, restaurants and other public places are going viral on social media. He said that nowadays videos like doing Garba in restaurants, talking loudly at the airport and turning the aircraft cabin into a picnic spot keep coming to the fore.

He further claimed that even in Davos, an Indian businessman played Punjabi music so loudly in the club that its sound was reaching the entire city and he was calling it “soft power”, while many people were getting disturbed by it.

Comparing India’s global image with that of Japan, Goenka wrote, “Japan has earned respect across the world for its humility and excellent civic etiquette. If India is to become a true global superpower, the world must remember Indians for their excellence, respect for others and responsible behavior. Our civic sense needs serious reform.”
