After the incident, there was chaos in the entire area. The family event going on at the beach turned into screaming and panic within a few moments. Security agencies immediately took charge and sealed the area.

Firing suddenly started near Bondi Beach

According to the report, a vehicle stopped on Campbell Parade near Bondi Pavilion at around 6:40 pm on Sunday evening. Two people got out of the vehicle and started firing without any warning. In the footage from the incident site, sounds like gunshots and continuous explosions can be heard in the tourist area. Eyewitnesses say that the attackers fired more than 30 rounds, causing a stampede on the spot.

Who is Navid Akram?

One attacker killed, other in critical condition

In police action, one attacker was killed on the spot, while the other is seriously injured. One of the two has been identified as Navid Akram, police said after raiding his house in Western Sydney. The injured were immediately admitted to various hospitals in Sydney, where the condition of many is said to be critical.

Israeli President strongly condemned

Israeli President Isaac Herzog has strongly condemned this shooting in Sydney. He called it a barbaric attack on Jews.
