Syed Mujahid Ali said on Muharram – Whatever be the circumstances, never leave the truth.

Moradabad. As the month of Muharram begins, preparations to maintain peace and law and order have intensified in different parts of the country. Meanwhile, senior Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Syed Mujahid Ali has given a big statement regarding Muharram. He has strongly appealed to the Aqeedatmands (devotees) and the general public to maintain complete peace during Muharram and follow the administrative guidelines. This statement of Mujahid Ali has come at a time when the administration is fully prepared regarding law and order during the festival season.

Actually, Muharram is not a celebratory occasion in the religion of Islam, rather it is a month of mourning celebrated in memory of the martyrdom of Imam Hussain and his companions. This is the reason why SP leader Syed Mujahid Ali has appealed to the people to show simplicity and discipline on this occasion. He stressed that during Moharram processions and majlis, no kind of rumors should be paid heed to and distance should be maintained from anti-social elements.

The message of Karbala and the great sacrifice of Imam Hussein

Talking about the historical and spiritual significance of Muharram, Syed Mujahid Ali said that this holy month reminds us of the great sacrifice, patience, courage and truthfulness of Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S.). He said, “On the land of Karbala, Imam Hussain (A.S.) chose the path of truth and justice instead of bowing before oppression and injustice. He along with his family and companions made the supreme sacrifice to protect humanity, justice and truth.”

The SP leader further said that the sands of Karbala still testify that truth never loses. By sacrificing himself, Imam Hussain (A.S.) gave such an immortal message to humanity which will be remembered till the doomsday. No matter how difficult the circumstances may be, one should never abandon the truth. The holy life of Imam Hussain (a.s.) is the greatest example in the world of patience, sacrifice and justice.

Peace and order is most important on Muharram: Syed Mujahid Ali

The SP leader said in his statement that Muharram gives us the message of patience, peace and brotherhood. In such a situation, it is the responsibility of every citizen to implement this message in his/her conduct. He said that the statement of SP leader Syed Mujahid Ali on the occasion of Muharram underlines that this month of Aqidat should be completed in a traditional and peaceful manner, without any dispute. He especially appealed to the youth to avoid stunting on the roads or doing anything that could cause trouble to others.

The SP leader said in strong words, “Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S.) proved in Karbala that history is written not by force, but by truth and justice. His sacrifice is a message of courage and honesty for the entire humanity. Karbala teaches us that standing firm on the path of truth is the real victory.” According to him, this message of Karbala is still an inspiration for the whole world that no matter how difficult the circumstances are, one should never give up on truth and justice.

Appeal to cooperate with the administration

It is being told that Mujahid Ali has also talked to local committees and volunteers. He said that whatever route and guidelines are decided by the police and local administration, it should be followed 100 percent. In fact, many times some anti-social elements try to spoil the atmosphere during the procession. To keep an eye on such people, the SP leader has advised the committees to remain alert. He said that if any suspicious activity is seen, immediately inform the police.

At many places, people of Hindu and Muslim communities come together to help maintain peace on this day. According to local people, such appeals from political leaders have a deep impact on the ground, especially among the youth who at times get carried away with emotions. Syed Mujahid Ali expressed confidence that like every year, this time too this month of Muharram will set a new example of peace and harmony in the country.
