Syria: Syria temporarily closes Jadeidet Yabus crossing, will reopen when situation normalizes
Syria: America-Israel attacks on Iran continue. Amidst the ongoing war, Iran targeted Kuwait’s Shuwaikh oil complex. Iran’s Science Minister said that 30 universities have been affected in the war. In this sequence, Syrian officials have announced that an important border post with Lebanon will be temporarily closed due to security reasons after Israel warned of possible attacks on the area.

The Land, Sea Border and Crossing Authority said on Saturday (local time) that the Jadeidet Yabous crossing, located opposite Lebanon’s Masnaa Crossing, is for civilians only and not for any military purpose.
There are no armed groups or militias present at the crossing and it is not used for any activity outside the civil and legal framework, the authority said.
The authority said traffic will resume once the situation becomes normal.
This announcement came after the Israeli army said that it would target the road leading to the Masna crossing located on the Syria-Lebanon border. The Israeli Army alleges that Hezbollah uses this route for military action. News agency Xinhua has given this information.
There is tension on the border due to the ongoing regional conflicts between America, Israel and Iran.
On March 31, Syria’s interim President Ahmed al-Sharaa said that Syria would stay away from any conflict unless it was directly targeted. He insisted on focusing on rebuilding the country after years of war.
