Many players in this squad including captain Harmanpreet, vice-captain Smriti Mandhana are those who played a big role in winning the ODI World Cup. But due to different formats and some issues like form, some players have not got a place for this World Cup. A big name in this is opener Pratika Rawal. Whereas spin-all-rounder Sneh Rana, Amanjot Kaur and batsman Harleen Deol are not part of it.
The big name among the players who made it to the list is Yastika Bhatia, who is out of the T20 team since April 2024. Due to form and injury, he has not played any international cricket since October 2024, while he is completely out of action since August 2025 due to various injuries. Even after being selected in the ODI World Cup, she was out, while recently she could not play even in the WPL 2026.
