Australia is out of the tournament
Zimbabwe had caused a big upset by defeating Australia. After this, Australia had to win its match against Sri Lanka at any cost. But, the Kangaroo team could not register victory in front of the guests. Zimbabwe needed just one point to enter the Super-8 and rain against Ireland gave them one point. In this way, the journey of the Australian team in this World Cup stopped here.
This happened after 17 years
Let us tell you, the Kangaroo team has been out of the group league matches of the T20 World Cup after 17 years. Earlier, during the 2009 World Cup, the Australian team was out of the group stage. As soon as Australia is out, the picture of Super-8 has become clear. Team India will play its first match against South Africa in the Super-8 match. Whereas in the second match, Surya and Company will face Zimbabwe. India will play its last match against West Indies in Super-8.
