Babar Azam Reveals Cheat Code on Tackling IND vs PAK Pressure
The Pakistan star batter Babar Azam has revealed his tactics to tackle the pressure associated with India vs Pakistan pressure ahead of the Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 on Sunday clash.
The veteran batter will be one of the key players for the upcoming clash to be played in Colombo. Both sides have been the powerhouse of group A as they aim to maintain their unbeaten start to the tournament and secure top spots in the T20 World Cup 2026 points table.
Babar Azam played a crucial role in Pakistan’s win over India in the 2021 edition of the T20 World Cup as they won by 10 wickets and spoke about how the match is a high intense battle.
The Pakistan star noted that the expectations during the clash go to a completely different level.
“Look, as we discussed, an India–Pakistan match is always high-intensity. The whole world is involved — all the fans, both countries — and like you said, it feels like the entire world is watching. It then goes to a different level, and the expectations also rise to a completely different level,” said Babar Azam.
Babar Azam has faced India five times in T20Is and said it is alaways best to keep calm and relaxed ahead of the India vs Pakistan match and shut out the critics.
“We have played quite a few such matches, and we’ve learned that the calmer and more relaxed you keep yourself, and the less you listen to outside noise, the better it is. If you stay straightforward and focused, that helps a lot.”
“From our experience, we talk to the youngsters as well and tell them that yes, there is excitement, but the more you stay easy and tension-free, the better it will be for you,” said Babar.
Babar Azam has managed to score only 105 runs in five T20Is against India with an average of 26.25 with a strike rate of 128.05. After his unbeaten 68 runs in the 2021 T20 World Cup , the Pakistan captain has struggled with bat, recording scores of 10, 14, 0 and 13 against India.
The high intense between India and Pakistan will be played on February 15 at R. Premadasa StadiumColombo.
