T20 World Cup 2026: IND vs WI: Suryakumar takes stunning flying catch to dismiss Chase – WATCH
New Delhi: Team India captain Suryakumar Yadav took a sensational flying catch during the Super 8 match of the T20 World Cup 2026 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Sunday, March 1. With the Men in Blue desperately looking for wickets, the captain brought back Jasprit Bumrah into the attack in the 12th over.
He first removed dangerous Shimron Hetmyer, caught behind by Sanju Samson, and just two balls later, Bumrah dismissed Roston Chase with a slower delivery, inducing a miscued shot. SKY ran to the right and stretched full length to have a chance, and somehow managed to cling on, getting both hands to it. The timing of the jump was crucial to complete the catch, and the Indian captain was spot on.
