T20 World Cup 2026 Prize Money: India won the T20 World Cup 2026 title by defeating New Zealand by 96 runs in the final match played at Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad. This is India’s second consecutive and third overall T20 World Cup title. With this, Team India has become the first team in the world to win three T20 World Cups. The special thing was that Team India became the first team to win the T20 World Cup at home.

After this historic victory, the Indian team was also showered with prize money by the International Cricket Council (ICC). On becoming champion, India was given prize money of 3 million dollars, i.e. about Rs 27.48 crore.

New Zealand got Rs 14.65 crore

The New Zealand team, which finished runner-up after losing in the final, received prize money of 1.6 million dollars, i.e. approximately Rs 14.65 crore. The teams of South Africa and England that reached the semi-finals were given $790,000 (about Rs 7.24 crore) each.

3.48 crores to the teams reaching Super-8

Teams that reached the Super-8 stage of the tournament were given prize money of $380,000 (approximately Rs 3.48 crore). Apart from Pakistan and host Sri Lanka, teams from Zimbabwe and West Indies were included in this category. Everyone was given equal amount.

Apart from this, a prize money of $ 250,000 (about Rs 2.29 crore) was fixed for the teams that were out of the group stage. ICC had set a total prize pool of around Rs 120 crore for this entire tournament.
