T20 World Cup 2026: South Africa-England in semis, India’s path to West Indies

The semi-final journey of T20 World Cup 2026 has now reached its final stage. India’s resounding 72-run win over Zimbabwe secured South Africa’s place in the last four. England has already qualified from Group-2.

South Africa secured the ticket in Group-1, but India will have to defeat West Indies in the last match of Super-8 on March 1. It is a question of win or out for the Suryakumar Yadav-led Indian team.

England is looking strong in Group-2. New Zealand have one win and a rain-affected match against Pakistan, along with an impressive net run rate of +3.050. If we win against England on 27 February then we will go straight to the semi-finals.

Pakistan has only one point. There will be a clash with Sri Lanka on 28th February. A win will fetch three points, but England will have to beat New Zealand and rely on net run rate.

These matches will be full of thrill. India’s path is clear, but there is still scope for an upset in Group-2. Fans are eagerly waiting.
