T20 World Cup 2026 Semifinal: South Africa vs New Zealand

By finishing first in their Super 8 group, South Africa heads into the Eden Gardens semifinal with the best Net Run Rate in the whole tournament. They’re facing a New Zealand team that barely made it through on NRR, making the Proteas the clear favorites to reach their second straight World Cup final. South Africa enters as the #1 seed and has already beaten the Black Caps by 7 wickets earlier this month, but they know that New Zealand’s habit of pulling off knockout upsets is the final big hurdle before the final in Ahmedabad.
