T20 World Cup 2026 Super-8 Schedule: When and whom will India face?

The league stage in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is in its final stages and out of the total 20 teams, eight teams will reach the Super-8. As of 17 February, India, England, West Indies, South Africa, Sri Lanka, New Zealand and Zimbabwe have qualified for the next stage.

Sports News: The ICC T20 World Cup 2026 is now entering its decisive phase. The league stage is at its final stage and out of total 20 teams, eight teams will make it to the Super-8. As of February 17, seven teams, including India, have qualified for the next stage, while the fight for one spot is ongoing between Pakistan and USA.

The teams that have secured a place in the Super-8 include India, England, West Indies, South Africa, Sri Lanka, New Zealand and Zimbabwe. The Indian team still has one league match left, but the team has already reached the next stage on the basis of strong performance.

Against India in Super-8

In the Super-8 stage, the Indian team will face three strong teams – South Africa, Zimbabwe and West Indies. This stage will prove to be very important for entering the knockout.

  • 22 February 2026: India vs South Africa – Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad
  • 26 February 2026: India vs Zimbabwe – MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai
  • 1 March 2026: India vs West Indies – Eden Gardens, Kolkata

The Indian team will play its last match of the league stage on 18 February in Ahmedabad. After this the team will directly enter the important matches of Super-8. The matches against strong teams like South Africa and West Indies will be a big test for India, while it may be risky to take Zimbabwe lightly as they have performed brilliantly in this tournament.

Knockout stage information

  • First Semi-Final – 4 March 2026: Venue not decided yet. If Pakistan reaches the semi-finals, their match will be held in Sri Lanka.
  • Second Semi-Final – 5 March 2026: Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai
  • Final – 8 March 2026: If Pakistan reaches the final then the title match will be played in Sri Lanka. Otherwise the final match will be held at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

This special arrangement has been made for security and organizational reasons, so that the tournament can be conducted smoothly.
