T20 World Cup: Pakistan beats Namibia by 102 runs, enters Super-8
New Delhi: In the 35th match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, Pakistan defeated Namibia by 102 runs and confirmed its place in the Super-8. In this match played at the Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo, Pakistan, batting first, had set a big target of 200 runs, in response to which Namibia’s team was limited to only 97 runs.
For Pakistan, Usman Tariq bowled brilliantly and took 4 wickets. Apart from him, Shadab Khan took 3 wickets, while Mohammad Nawaz and Salman Mirza got 1 wicket each. Earlier, after winning the toss and opting to bat first, Pakistan team had scored 199 runs by losing 3 wickets in 20 overs.
Sahibzada Farhan played a brilliant century for the team. Sahibzada scored 100 runs unbeaten on 58 balls. In his innings he hit 11 fours and 4 sixes. Along with him, Shadab Khan also remained unbeaten and scored 36 runs in 22 balls. Apart from these, captain Salman Agha added 38 runs on 23 balls, while Sam Ayub scored 14 runs on 12 balls. At the same time, for Namibia, Jack Brassell took two wickets, while captain Gerhard Erasmus took one wicket.
