Total prize pool- more than Rs 120 crore!

ICC has announced a total prize money of 13.5 million US dollars i.e. approximately Rs 120 crore for the tournament. This is 20% more than the 2024 World Cup. Huge earnings from broadcast rights and sponsorship made this record possible.

Amount received by winner and runner-up

The winning team will be given an amount of 3 million dollars (about Rs 27.48 crore). The runner-up team will be given $1.6 million (about Rs 14.65 crore).

Whether India or New Zealand wins, at least an amount of more than Rs 14 crore is assured in the account of both the teams. But the team that becomes champion will get both the trophy along with a prize of Rs 27 crore+ and the pride of world champion.

Reward for semi-finalists and Super-8 teams

Each of the two losing semi-final teams will be given $790,000 (about Rs 7.24 crore). At the same time, $380,000 (about Rs 3.48 crore) will be given to each team that reaches Super-8.

Teams out of group stage also benefit

A total of 20 teams took part in the tournament. The teams that could not progress beyond the group stage will also receive prize money of $250,000 (approximately Rs 2.29 crore).
