Ranchi: Jharkhand’s first woman DGP Tadasha Mishra has been made permanent DGP from in-charge DGP of Jharkhand. The government has issued a notification in this regard.
Tadasha Mishra became permanent DGP from in-charge
IPS officer Tadasha Mishra has been appointed as the Director General and Inspector General of Police (DGP-HoPF) of the state. In this regard, the Home, Jail and Disaster Management Department has issued a notification on 30 December 2025. According to the notification, Tadasha Mishra (IPS, 1994 batch) has been appointed under the provisions of “Selection and Appointment Rules of Director General and Inspector General of Police, Jharkhand (Chief of Police Force), 2025” notified in the year 2025. Also dated 29 December 2025 The provisions contained in the amended Resolution No. 5051 have also been made the basis for this appointment.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren gave appointment letters to 1910 candidates of JSSC CGL, said – next time the conspirators will be sent to jail.
Incharge to full time DGP
The notification said that Tadasha Mishra was already working as Director General and Inspector General of Police (HoPF) in-charge of Jharkhand. Now she has been formally appointed and posted as Director General and Inspector General of Police (HoPF) of Jharkhand.
Notification issued by the order of the Governor: This appointment has been made by the order of the Governor of Jharkhand and the notification is signed by Ajit Kumar Singh, Under Secretary, Home Department. It has also been marked for publication in the Government Gazette under Notification No. 13/P-101/2024-5065/C, dated 30/12/2025.

Jharkhand’s first woman DGP Tadasha Mishra is from Odisha. After succeeding in UPSC in 1994, she got Bihar cadre, after separation of Jharkhand, she remained in Jharkhand cadre. Tadasha Mishra’s image has been that of an honest IPS officer. He has not been associated with any controversy in his entire career.
After the creation of Jharkhand state, IPS Tadasha Mishra remained in Jharkhand cadre. In the early days of her career, she had contributed as City SP of Ranchi. In Jharkhand, apart from Bokaro SP, Tadasha Mishra has worked as ADG Railways and Special Secretary in Home, Jail and Disaster Management Department.
