According to Znews, HK01 reported on Thursday that Chen, once dubbed one of the “five beauties” of National Taiwan University, spoke out angrily against what she described as defamatory accusations that pushed her into depression and even led her to harbor negative thoughts.
Chen said she had previously been pursued by several well-known figures, including actors Chen Bolin and Dylan Kuo, but claimed the media instead portrayed her as a “homewrecker,” which she insisted was entirely untrue.
“My suicide note was almost finished, so you don’t need to waste any more time,” Chen was quoted as saying. “You portray the two most handsome men in Taiwan, whom I once rejected, like gods, yet you write about me as a mistress. This is fabricated and false.”
According to 8daysChen also named actors Calvin Chen and Mike He, as well as director Chu Yu Ning as having once wooed her, but claimed that “all of them failed.”
The actress said the controversy has placed enormous pressure on her in recent days. She admitted that she had previously chosen to remain silent to protect others’ reputations, but said she felt compelled to speak out before the situation escalated further.
Media reports alleged that Chen had sent messages to numerous former male university classmates, often expressing sadness and asking to talk or meet. When meetings took place, they were reportedly arranged at cafés or near the men’s homes and frequently occurred late at night. Chen was also said to have worn thin sleepwear, spaghetti-strap tops, or shorts during some of the encounters.
Some men claimed Chen spoke incoherently, asked intrusive questions about their private lives and salaries, and even asked whether they wanted to date her. Concerned about her behavior, several of them reportedly blocked her number.
Now 38, Chen began her career as a commercial model and appeared in music videos before embarking on an acting career. She made her acting debut in 2011, starring as the second female lead in the popular television series “In Time with You.”
