New Delhi: The ongoing conflict between Congress and BJP over the shirtless protest at the AI ​​Summit has now reached a new turn. Bharatiya Janata Party has alleged that Congress tried to defame the AI ​​Summit by paying money to social media influencers as part of a planned conspiracy.

BJP claims that the Congress PR team contacted several influencers and offered them Rs 10,000 to Rs 40,000 to make negative videos and circulate them on social media, terming the summit a failure.

BJP’s national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala made serious allegations against Congress while posting on social media platform X. they wrote,"Take Congress’s money, AI summit, defame India model. Congress ecosystem paid to malign AI summit? Anti-national in opposition to BJP? After the shirtless act, now this?"

He said that this is not just a political protest but an attempt to tarnish the image of the country.

Videos surfaced by influencers

The controversy deepened when some social media influencers publicly claimed that they had received offers to create scripted content from people associated with the Congress.

In video messages he alleged that he was offered payment in exchange for criticizing the AI ​​Summit. Some influencers also said that they have evidence like alleged chat messages and audio recordings.

Controversy started due to shirtless protest

It is noteworthy that last Friday, Indian Youth Congress workers had demonstrated shirtless inside the exhibition hall during the AI ​​Impact Summit 2026. The protesters were wearing T-shirts with slogans against the government and the India-US trade agreement. The security personnel threw him out of the venue.
