‘Taken to 42 seats’, Lalan Singh bluntly on the return of RCP Singh in JDU

Sanjay Singh, Patna. RCP Singh, who was once Nitish Kumar’s most trusted confidant, is once again being speculated to return to Janata Dal United (JDU). He is facing opposition regarding his return to JDU. Due to the protests, the deadline for his return may be extended. The factionalism within the party has increased regarding this political sequence of events. Many party leaders are in support of him and many are against it. Senior party leaders and Union ministers have made his return difficult.

Union Minister Lalan Singh has expressed strong objection to the return of RCP Singh. At the same time, supporters of RCP say that the return of RCP is necessary for power violence. Some people have surrounded the Chief Minister due to their vested interests. Party sources say that nothing is going to get better or worse through opposition or support. Only the Chief Minister will take the final decision on this.

Why is Lalan Singh angry?

The political relationship between Lalan Singh and RCP has already been sour. Both have been political opponents of each other. There is a power struggle between the two. In Lakhisarai, when journalists asked Lalan Singh a question regarding the withdrawal of RCP from the party, his reply was that RCP caused political loss to the party while being in the party.

Lalan Singh has accused RCP Singh of weakening the party. He said, ‘After leaving the party, he also made inappropriate remarks against Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. He has played an important role in taking the party into the abyss. During his tenure as National President, the number of MLAs in the party increased to 42. They should work better for the party politics they are doing. There is no benefit to be gained from poking around here and there.

Why do some leaders want to return?

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has only four leaders. They include Union minister Lalan Singh, state government ministers Ashok Chaudhary and Vijay Chaudhary and Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Jha. Supporter of RCP leaders say that in the presence of these four, other people do not get a chance to express their views. These people also have a strong hold on the officials. Officials do not listen to other leaders. This is the reason why people’s dissatisfaction is increasing within the party. This is having an adverse effect on the party and the organization.

Poster of Nishant and RCP?

A poster was released a few days ago. In that poster, there was a picture of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar along with his son Nishant and RCP. There is also a continuous demand to bring Chief Minister’s son Nishant Kumar into politics.

Nishant’s supporters say that when he enters politics, he will need a senior leader to guide him. He has also been an RCP administrative officer. He also has better experience in politics. In such a situation, if Nishant enters politics then RCP will be able to guide him in a better way. The infighting within the party has intensified regarding the entire episode.
