Talha Anjum ventures into cinema with ‘Kattar Karachi,’

Pakistani music icon Talha Anjum, widely celebrated for his contributions to the hip-hop scene, is now entering the world of acting with his debut film, Kattar Karachi, scheduled to hit theaters on December 20.

Anjum, who gained fame as Pakistan’s most-streamed artist on Spotify, is well-known for his socially conscious and poetic approach to music.

He first rose to prominence as part of Young Stunners, a duo he co-founded with Talha Younus in 2012. The group revolutionized the music industry with tracks like Burger Karachi, which critiqued societal hierarchies.

Over the years, Anjum’s solo work, including his acclaimed album Open Letter, cemented his reputation as a pioneer of Urdu rap.

With millions of Spotify listeners and a dedicated fanbase, he continues to inspire audiences through his creativity and passion.

Directed by Abdul Wali Baloch, Kattar Karachi features Anjum in a leading role, alongside Kinza Hashmi and Imran Ashraf, who plays the antagonist.

The film draws heavily from Anjum’s personal experiences, adding an authentic touch to its storyline and soundtrack.
