sequel of the film, Dhurandhar Part Twothe excitement towards it has increased further after the announcement of its release in March 2026. Meanwhile, an interesting fact related to the film has caught the attention of fans.
Director’s first choice for dance number
According to recent reports, stalwart Tamannaah Bhatia was the first choice for the lead dance number. This is the same song that plays during Ranveer Singh and Sara Arjun’s wedding scene in the film, and highlights the light, happy tone of the story. However, ultimately Tamanna was not seen in this song. In their place, Ayesha Khan and Krystle D’Souza won the hearts of the audience with their performance.
Choreographer Vijay Ganguly’s disclosure
Choreographer of this song Vijay Ganguly recently explained the reason for this decision in an interview. He said that the most suitable name in his mind for this song was Tamannaah Bhatia. Vijay also said that he had shared his views in this regard, but director Aditya Dhar was clear in this matter that he did not want any kind of item song in the film.
Vijay Ganguly told that Aditya Dhar believed that a lot was already happening in the story of the film. If there was a big star like Tamanna in the song, the audience’s attention would have gone only on that one face, which could have reduced the depth of the story. Aditya wanted the song to be an integral part of the film’s story and not a separate attraction. He clearly believed that if the song revolved around only one girl, it would distract from the story.
