Ingredients For Tandoori Chicken

To make Tandoori Chicken, you will need the following ingredients.

  • 500 grams chicken
  • 1 cup curd
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp mustard oil
  • salt as per taste
  • a little oil or butter

How to Marinate Chicken

  • First of all, wash and clean the chicken thoroughly. Then make light cuts on the chicken pieces so that the spices can penetrate inside properly.
  • In a large vessel, add curd, ginger-garlic paste, red chilli powder, turmeric, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, salt and lemon juice and mix well.
  • Now add chicken pieces to this masala and mix well. Put some mustard oil on top. Keep the chicken in the refrigerator for at least 2–3 hours. If you marinate for longer time then the taste will be even better.

How to Cook Tandoori Chicken

If you do not have an oven, you can also use a pan or tawa. Heat some oil and cook the chicken pieces on low flame. Cook the chicken thoroughly on both sides until it is completely cooked.

Tips For Perfect Tandoori Chicken Recipe

  • Chicken Marinate it for at least 2-3 hours.
  • Mix the spices well.
  • Keep applying light oil or butter while cooking.
  • For more taste you can add some chaat masala on top.
