‘Target locked, will drown everyone’, Iran threatens missile attack on US warships
A US naval blockade of Hormuz will destroy everything. Iran’s supreme leader’s military advisor, Mohsen Rezaei, threatened in a harsh tone. He claimed that all US warships are targeting Iran. Any attempt to blockade the port would be sunk by missile strikes.
Recently, in an interview given to Iran’s official press TV, Rezai said, “The US’s attempt to blockade Iran has completely failed. If America shows any initiative, our army is ready to respond on the face. Their attempt to open Hormuz has already failed, this time the siege will also fail. Rezai told the press, “The Iranian army will not allow this American blockade to succeed in any way. We are fully prepared to retaliate.”
Rezaei said, “Iran’s army will not allow this American blockade to succeed in any way. We are fully prepared to retaliate.”
Rezaei’s statement came as the US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on Wednesday that the blockade of Iranian ports had been successful. US forces have established maritime dominance in key waterways in the region, including Hormuz. CENTCOM Commander Admiral Brad Cooper said the US military cut off all maritime trade with Iran within 36 hours of the operation. However, rejecting that claim, Iran has informed that if any blockade is attempted, all US warships will be sunk by missile attack.
According to Press TV reports, the US is planning a military operation against Iran in coordination with Israel. It is also trying to deploy paratroopers to seize uranium in Isfahan. However, Rezai said, the ceasefire will not be effective if the conditions are not met. A ceasefire will only be meaningful if all agreements and our rights are fulfilled and a resolution is presented to the UN Security Council.
