He indicated that the basic basis of foreign policy would be national interest and public priorities.

After BNP’s election victory, Tarique Rahman is going to become the first male Prime Minister of Bangladesh in 36 years (Tarique Rahman Press Briefing). Before this, there were governments under the leadership of Khaleda Zia and Sheikh Hasina for a long time. BNP has returned to power after 20 years by winning 212 seats in the 299-seat Parliament.
