Tarun Chetna took out a candle march on Human Rights Day

Pratapgarh. On the last day of the 16-day campaign against gender-based violence, Tarun Chetna organized a candle march in Patti on the occasion of Human Rights Day on Wednesday, which was flagged off by Inspector-in-charge Patti. Discussing the objective of this program organized under Mission Shakti Phase 05, Tarun Chetna Director Naseem Ansari said that with the aim of increasing awareness about women’s safety, respect and equality in the society and raising collective voice against the increasing violence against women, a sixteen-day campaign was run by the organization from November 25 to December 10. Under the campaign, work was done to increase public awareness against violence against women by organizing discussions, seminars, youth dialogues and press conferences.

The candle march started from Kotwali Gate, in which women, girls and social workers of the organization participated enthusiastically. All the participants took out a rally holding candles in their hands and raising slogans with messages of women’s respect and human rights protection. At the closing ceremony of the program, area officer Patti Manoj Kumar Singh Raghuvanshi showed his commitment towards human rights protection and called upon the aware people of the society to come forward to end violence against women.

On this occasion, campaign in-charge Hakim Ansari said that under this 16-day campaign, awareness was also spread about ensuring the safety of women, prevention of violence, information about legal rights and support services. The candle march concluded in the block premises, where all the participants took oath to ensure respect, safety and equal opportunities for women. The program was concluded with the national anthem.

In this program, Mission Shakti in-charge Sub Inspector Jyoti Savita, Sub Inspector Sachin Yadav, Dr. Achhelal Bind, Shakuntala Devi, Gargi Patel, Nazreen Bano, Neeraj Gupta, Priyanka, Vimala, Momina, Geeta Devi, Afsana, Kahkasha, Shama Ara, Manju Gupta, Mission Shakti team of Kotwali Patti and other police personnel were present in this program.
