BCB announces 2026 central contracts: After withdrawing from T20 World Cup 2026, Bangladesh Cricket Board has announced the central contract for 2026. Fast bowler Taskin Ahmed and veteran wicketkeeper batsman Mushfiqur Rahim have got a big blow in the new contract. Both the experienced players have been demoted.

This time no player has been kept in A+ category in the central contract. In the last central contract, Taskin Ahmed was the only player who was included in the A+ category. This year he has been placed in the A category along with Nazmul Hussain Shanto, Mehdi Hasan Miraj and Liton Das.

Bangladesh Cricket Board has divided the central contracts into four categories. A total of four players have been given place in Grade-A. Players joining Grade-A get 8 lakh Bangladeshi Taka. Whereas 11 players have been included in Grade B. Grade-B players get 6 lakh Bangladeshi Taka. 6 players have been given place in Grade C. Whereas 7 players have got place in Grade D. Players in Grade-C get 4 lakh Bangladeshi Taka. Whereas Grade-D players get 2 lakh Bangladeshi Taka.

These 11 players got place in Grade B

A total of 11 players have been given place in Grade-B, which also includes the name of Mushfiqur Rahim. Mushfiqur has suffered a loss due to his retirement from ODI cricket last year. Apart from this, Mominul Haq, Taijul Islam, Mustafizur Rahman, Tauheed Hirdoy, Tanjeed Hasan, Rishad Hussain, Hasan Mahmood, and Nahid Rana have been kept. Grade-B players get 6 lakh Bangladeshi Taka. Shadman, Tanjeed, Rishad and Mehndi Hasan have been promoted from Grade-C to B.

Soumya Sarkar included in Grade C

Soumya Sarkar, Zaker Ali, Shoriful Islam, Tanzeem Hasan, Nasum Ahmed and Khalid Ahmed have been included in Grade-C. A total of 7 players have been included in Grade-D. Players in Grade-C get 4 lakh Bangladeshi Taka. Whereas Grade-D players get 2 lakh Bangladeshi Taka.

grade B: Mominul Haq, Taijul Islam, Mustafizur Rahman, Mushfiqur Rahim, Tauheed Hirdoy, Shadman Islam, Tanjeed Hasan, Rishad Hussain, Mehndi Hasan, Hasan Mahmood and Nahid Rana.

Grade-C: Soumya Sarkar, Zaker Ali, Shoriful Islam, Tanzeem Hasan, Nasum Ahmed, Khalid Ahmed

Grade-D: Saif Hasan, Parvez Hussain Emon, Tanveer Islam, Naeem Hasan, Hasan Murad, Shamim Hussain and Noorul Hasan.
