Tata fulfilled its promise, gifted Sierra SUV to the team that won the Women’s World Cup 2025

The Indian women’s cricket team created history by winning the title for the first time in the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025. Celebrating this spectacular success, Tata Motors gifted a new Tata Sierra car to every player of the team. This felicitation ceremony took place on 16 December 2025 at Bombay House, Mumbai, where the entire team was specially honored.

The final match took place on 2 November 2025 at DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. India won this wonderful trophy by defeating South Africa by 52 runs. Shefali Verma played a quick inning of 87 runs, while Deepti Sharma turned the match by taking 5 wickets.

Captain Harmanpreet Kaur became the third Indian captain after Kapil Dev (1983) and MS Dhoni (2011) to lift the 50-over World Cup. This victory in front of thousands of spectators on the home ground was a memorable moment for the entire country.
