Hyundai Motor India is planning a grand strategy to maintain its strong hold in India. Last year, the company introduced an updated model of its popular sub-compact SUV Hyundai Venue. Now in 2026, the company is gearing up to launch three important cars. These include the Hyundai Exter facelift, the Hyundai Verna facelift and a new compact crossover. These new models could give tough competition to Maruti Suzuki and Tata Motors.

New Hyundai Exter 2026 Facelift

Exter The facelift is expected to bring mild but significant changes to the exterior and interior design. The front is likely to get a redesigned grille, revised bumper and H-shape DRLs. The rear is likely to get a new tailgate, taillamps and rear bumper.

The interior may include a larger touchscreen infotainment system, a new digital instrument cluster as well as new trims and seat coverings. No major changes are expected in the engine but the 1.2 liter petrol engine (around 82 bhp power) will remain available. The CNG option will also be retained.

New Hyundai Verna 2026 Facelift

The Verna facelift could offer a larger dual-screen setup, a new steering wheel and dual-tone interiors. Features will remain the same as the current model; But the design and technology will improve.
Engine options will include a 1.5 liter turbo petrol (160 bhp, 253 Nm of torque) and a 1.5 liter naturally aspirated petrol (115 bhp). Manual and automatic gearbox options will remain available.

The new Hyundai compact crossover

Hyundai’s upcoming compact crossover could be based on the global model Hyundai Bayon. The model for the Indian market will be under 4 meters in length and is likely to be launched in the third quarter of 2026.

It may get a new 1.2 liter turbo petrol engine, which will be ready for hybrid technology in the future. A 1.0 liter turbo petrol engine option is also available.
