Rajasthan: Big action was seen in Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan, where the Transport Department locked a showroom of TATA Motors which was flouting the rules. Along with seizing this showroom located at Karmoda, 21 vehicles parked there were also confiscated. Initial investigation revealed that the showroom was selling vehicles indiscriminately without the necessary trade certificates and authorization letters.
How was the entire game caught?
The action taken under the leadership of District Transport Officer Ajit Singh revealed that the showroom operator was not only selling vehicles without permission, but was also providing services by running a workshop illegally. According to Inspector Hanuman Meena, the tax of the vehicles was also being adjusted in the name of another showroom, which is clearly a violation of the rules.
Rajasthan: 33 vehicles sold in two months, loss to government
The investigation also revealed that between March and April 2026, 33 vehicles were sold from the showroom without trade tax and authorization letter. Not only this, last month itself 45 vehicles were sold in Madhya Pradesh also. Whereas the showroom had neither permission to sell nor the right to provide service. Till now, 148 vehicles have also been serviced illegally, causing huge revenue loss to the government.
Rajasthan: 21 cars seized, complete records in possession
During the action, 21 cars parked in the showroom have been seized. Besides, the workshop and the entire showroom have also been closed. The officials have also seized all documents and records from the spot. Clear instructions have been given to the showroom operator that the vehicles will neither be sold nor brought to the showroom till further notice.
A fine of Rs 8 lakh was imposed earlier also
Rajasthan: Even before this, an unregistered vehicle from the showroom was caught, on which a challan of Rs 8 lakh was issued. The surprising thing is that this fine has not been deposited yet. After this, a notice was also sent for trade suspension action. Was but did not receive any reply.
