Tata Punch EV Facelift: Tata Motors launched the facelifted version of its popular electric micro SUV, Punch EV in India. The new Punch EV not only has updated design and features, but its battery capacity has also been increased. The new facelifted model is largely inspired by the petrol (ICE) version of the Punch. The new Punch EV has luxury features like 12.3-inch screen, connected LED taillights and ventilated seats. Safety features like six airbags and 360° camera are standard. The new Punch is Rs 30,000 cheaper than the current model.
Prices start at ₹9.69 lakh, going up to ₹12.59 lakh for the top variant. Tata has introduced the new Punch EV in five trim levels. These include Smart, Smart+, Adventure, Empowered, and Empowered+. The new base variant of the electric car is Rs 30,000 cheaper than the old model, while the top variant with a bigger battery is now cheaper by Rs 1.85 lakh. Booking of the car has started, and deliveries will start soon.
Exterior Design: New front look and new alloy wheels
Front Profile: The biggest changes in the front of the car are its grille and light setup. The black strip connecting the headlamp has been removed in the facelifted model. The design of connected LED DRLs has also been changed. The front scuff plate has also been redesigned.
Side and Rear: The side profile features new ‘aero-optimized’ alloy wheels inspired by the Nexon EV, which helps in increasing the range. At the rear, it is expected to get connected LED taillamps like the petrol version.
Color Option: The company has introduced a new ‘Bright Yellow’ color, which looks similar to the sunlit yellow of the Harrier. A contrasting black roof (dual tone) option will also be available.
Interior: Large 12.3-inch screen and luxurious cabin

Dashboard and Displays: A new 12.3-inch larger touchscreen infotainment system is expected to support wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
seating and sunroof: Expect new seat upholstery and ventilated seats for a premium feel. An electric sunroof will also be available.
Steering: Tata’s new two-spoke steering wheel with illuminated logo will be available.
Performance: 0-100 kmph in 9.5 seconds
Mechanically, there are likely to be no major changes in the new Punch EV. Like before, it will be available with two battery options.
This EV can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 9.5 seconds and its top speed is 140 kmph. The EV has two e-drive options: a 120 bhp, 190 Nm torque version and an 80 bhp, 114 Nm torque version.
The car will be available with two battery pack options: 25 kWh (mid-range) and 35 kWh (long-range). The mid-range trim offers a range of 315 km on a single charge, and the long-range trim offers a range of up to 421 km (MIDC). The standard variant comes with only a 3.3 kW AC charger, while the long-range variant comes with a 7.2 kW AC charger and 50 kW DC fast charging.
Safety Feature: Equipped with ADAS and 6 airbags
ADAS Technology: The Punch EV is expected to have a radar and camera-based ADAS system, which will have features like automatic emergency braking and lane keep assist.
Standard Safety: Features like 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and 360-degree camera make it the safest electric car in its segment.
