Tata Punch Flex: Recently, at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in Noida, Tata Motors introduced its compact SUV new Punch Flex Fuel concept. Punch will now be capable of running on 100 percent ethanol. At present, Punch has the facility to run on petrol, CNG and electric. Currently Tata Punch is the best selling car in the country. Now car companies are emphasizing on flex fuel. Ethanol is being discussed a lot these days among alternative fuels and is being used by people in many countries of the world.

What is flex fuel?

Flex Fuel can be used as an alternative to petrol. Using it helps in reducing pollution. Besides this, energy is also saved. Apart from petrol, the engine can also run on a mixture of ethanol. Ethanol is a bio fuel, which is made from wheat, corn and sugarcane. Use of flex fuel may soon be seen in India. The government is also working rapidly on this.

Punch will run on 100 percent flex fuel

Tata Punch can be seen in Flex Fuel avatar in the coming days and the special thing is that it can run on 100% ethanol (Flex Fuel). But right now Flex Fuel is not available in very good quantity in India, and it is easily available like Petrol-Diesel and CNG. But it is believed that the price of Flex Fuel will be lower than traditional fuel and gas.

Tata punch features

A 1.2-litre petrol engine has been used in Tata Punch Flex Fuel. This engine has also been updated to protect it from the more dangerous effects of ethanol. This is why Punch will run on 100% flex fuel. The power of 86bhp and torque of 115Nm available in the variant is also expected to remain the same. This engine will be equipped with 5-speed manual and AMT option. For safety, it will have the facility of 2 airbags, ABS with EBD.
