Tata Sierra Base Vs Top Variant Compared Side By Side [Video]
This video of the Tata Sierra base vs the top-spec variant has been shared on YouTube by The Car Show on their channel. It starts off with the vlogger mentioning that the grey vehicle on the left is the base Smart+ variant of the Sierra, which is priced at Rs 11.49 lakh. Meanwhile, the one on the right is the top-of-the-line Accomplished+ diesel automatic variant, priced at Rs 21.29 lakh. There is a difference of Rs 9.8 lakh between the two variants.
Following the introduction, the presenter then starts comparing the two variants. For this, he starts by showing the front end of these SUVs. He mentions that both extreme-end variants of the Sierra get the same LED headlight and DRL setup. However, the top-spec variant also gets LED fog lights, sequential turn indicators, a front camera, front parking sensors, and the camera and sensors for the ADAS Level 2.
Apart from these, both look identical, with the same gloss black grille and silver skid plate on the lower part of the front bumper. Soon after this, the presenter shows the profiles of these SUVs side by side. He highlights that both get flush-type door handles; however, the top-of-the-line Accomplished+ variant gets illumination on all four handles and request sensors on both front handles.
However, the base variant does not get illumination and only a single request sensor on the driver side. Apart from this, the top-spec variant gets a set of 19-inch diamond-cut aero-efficient alloy wheels. Meanwhile, the base variant gets a set of 17-inch steel wheels. The base variant also misses out on integrated roof rails, a shark fin antenna, cameras on auto-folding ORVMs, and the massive panoramic sunroof.

As for the rear, the vlogger highlights that both variants get the same connected LED taillights, rear bumper, and skid plate. The only difference is that the top variant gets a powered tailgate. Meanwhile, the base variant gets a manual tailgate. Additionally, the base variant also does not get a rear wiper and washer system, and the spare tyre is also not being offered by the company.

After showing the exterior design differences, the vlogger then shows the cabin of the base variant. He mentions that it gets a start-stop button, a small digital instrument gauge, manual AC, which looks like automatic climate control, all four power windows, a floating center console, an electronic parking brake, and fabric upholstery finished in grey and black.

Meanwhile, the top-of-the-line variant comes loaded with features such as dual 12.3-inch touchscreens, a 10.25-inch digital instrument gauge cluster, a JBL premium audio system, ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, a powered driver seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, and many other features.
The base Smart+ variant of the Sierra is offered with two engines. The first is the 1.5-litre Revotron NA petrol engine, which makes 105 bhp and 145 Nm of torque. It is only offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The higher variants also get a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox with this engine. Apart from it, the base variant also gets a diesel engine.

It is the 1.5-litre Kryojet diesel engine, which makes 118 bhp and 260 Nm of torque with the 6-speed manual gearbox and 280 Nm of torque with the 6-speed torque-converter automatic (the base does not get an automatic gearbox). The top-of-the-line Accomplished variant also comes with the third engine option, which is the 1.5-litre TGDi Hyperion turbo petrol engine that produces 158 bhp and 255 Nm of torque. It is only offered with a 7-speed DCT gearbox.
