Tata Sierra EV Spied At TVC Shoot In Jispa: Launch Around The Corner
Tata Motors in the next few weeks will be officially launching the Sierra.ev. Now you may be wondering how we can be so sure? Well, recently a fully undisguised production-spec Tata Sierra.ev was spotted in Jispa, Lahaul-Spiti, Himachal Pradesh in the middle of a river for its commercial shoot. This particular Sierra.ev was seen finished in the bright shade of Andaman Adventure Yellow.
Tata Sierra.ev spotted during TVC shoot
The images of the Tata Sierra.ev during its official commercial shoot have been shared on X by Rattan Dhillon on their page. In the images we can note that the final production-ready Tata Sierra.ev was seen parked next to the river in front of beautiful snow-capped mountains in the valley of Jispa, Lahaul-Spiti, in Himachal Pradesh. The vehicle was surrounded by the team members who came for the shoot of this vehicle.
Most likely in the coming 4–6 weeks, Tata Motors will officially launch the Sierra.ev in India. These particular images were taken from a very far-off distance. However, we can still note that in terms of the overall design, the Tata Sierra.ev will not look extremely different from the ICE. It will get a closed-off grille on the top, a similar pronounced silver skid plate, gloss black elements, and the same set of large 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.
Tata Sierra.ev – What will make it stand out?

Now coming to the details of the upcoming Tata Sierra.ev, it has been confirmed that this EV SUV will be based on the same Acti.ev architecture. It is believed that Tata will be offering the Sierra.ev with two battery pack options borrowed from its sibling Harrier.ev. This means that this SUV will be getting a 65 kWh battery pack offering a range of 538 km and a 75 kWh battery pack providing 627 km of range.
There are some reports which have also highlighted that the company could also give the Sierra.ev the same QWD (Quad Wheel Drive) all-wheel-drive system as the Harrier.ev. If this happens, it will mean that the Sierra.ev will be getting two electric motors making 390 bhp and 504 Nm of torque and will reach from 0–100 kmph in just 6.3 seconds.

The standard Sierra.ev with the rear-wheel-drive layout is expected to get a single electric motor capable of making 238 bhp and 315 Nm of torque. It has to be noted that these powertrain options have not been confirmed by the company.
So it could be possible that the company might offer the Sierra.ev with the same setup as the Curvv.ev, which gets a 167 bhp and 215 Nm producing electric motor. It could also get smaller battery pack options of 45 kWh which offers a range of 502 km or a 55 kWh offering a range of 585 km.

In terms of the features technology, most likely Tata Motors will offer the Sierra.ev with the same cabin layout as the Sierra ICE. Currently the top-of-the-line Sierra variants get the triple-screen layout including a 10.25-inch digital instrument gauge, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a 12.3-inch front passenger infotainment screen.
Other notable highlights will include a JBL premium audio system, Dolby Atmos, different color upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated and powered front seats, and many others. Safety features could include multiple airbags, ADAS Level 2, a 360-degree camera, and a ton of other systems. Pricing of the Sierra.ev once launched is expected to be around Rs 18–25 lakh.
