During this period, Tata Sierra gave a mileage of 29.9 kilometers per liter, which has become a new national record, breaking all the previous records of the country. This achievement has been officially recorded in the India Book of Records.
Expressing pride, Mohan Savkar, Chief Product Officer, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles, said, “Creating this national efficiency record so soon after the launch of Sierra proves our thrust to enhance the efficiency of petrol engines. This record makes Sierra’s value to customers even more special.

This engine features a special advanced combustion system and low friction architecture, which ensures stable and efficient fuel delivery over long periods of time. This engine also delivers superior torque, giving the vehicle consistent performance and record-breaking mileage. Mohan Savkar said that the Hyperion engine has been developed to push the limits of petrol powertrains.
Sierra is amazing even at top speed
Tata Sierra has proved its capability in terms of mileage as well as performance. In a separate test, the Sierra also achieved a top speed of 222 kilometers per hour (kmph) on NATRAX. This is also another testament to the power of the 1.5 liter Hyperion engine.
